SEG Automotive showcases Its portfolio to Independent Workshops – Autodoktoren visit the booth
On October 10th, 2026, the experts conference “Fachtagung Freie Werkstätten & Servicebetriebe” organized by the VOGEL Communications Group (including the trade magazine kfz-betrieb) took place. SEG Automotive showcased its products and expertise with an exhibition booth during the event, presenting its aftermarket portfolio, including starters, alternators, the 48V BRM starter-generator, remanufactured high-voltage drives under the redrive brand, and 12V batteries.
Special guests at the booth were the Autodoktoren, well known from the German television programs VOX/RTL, with whom we exchanged insights on the BRM (Boost Recuperation Machine) and its applications in modern vehicle architectures.
48V technology and its relevance for independent workshops were also the focus of the presentation “„48V Mild-Hybrid in der Werkstatt - Generator oder E-Maschine?” delivered as part of the event’s live workshop program. The key message was clear: 48V machines are not something workshops will encounter in the future, they are already in service today. Workshops that are prepared for this technology and understand its systems and components will be better positioned to create added value for both their business and their customers.
Overall, we draw a highly positive conclusion from the event. Direct engagement with independent workshops is essential for us, and the interest in our OE-quality products was strong throughout the day. In particular, the topics of 48V technology and remanufactured high-voltage drives under the redrive brand resonated strongly with workshop professionals. The event led to many valuable discussions and promising new contacts that will extend well beyond the conference itself. Our participation proved to be well worthwhile.
