SEG Automotive Introduces Advanced E-Mobility Solutions for Indian Market and Beyond

Ahead of next week’s AutoExpo trade fair in India, we unveiled our expanded portfolio of electrification technologies in India. We showcased our successful transformation from a traditional hardware manufacturer to an advanced mechatronics firm, placing us at the forefront of sustainable mobility solutions.

  • Adaptable High-Voltage System Solutions for passenger cars and commercial vehicles
  • Driving Innovation in Light Electric Mobility in India and the world
  • Commitment to Sustainability Across Conventional and Electric Powertrains

Our new e-machines & system solutions are designed to address the rising demand for electrification, featuring 800-volt components and Light Electric Mobility (LEM) solutions for two-, three-, and four-wheeled vehicles. Our versatile high-voltage platform supports applications up to 800 volts and 150 kilowatts of continuous power, offering flexibility for diverse needs. Customer options range from individual components such as stators and rotors or complete systems incorporating in-house electronics and software.

High-Voltage Electrification for a Cleaner Future

Speaking at a dedicated launching event, SEG Automotive CEO Ferdinando Sorrentino emphasized the company’s dedication to electrification:

"Our high-voltage solutions represent SEG Automotive's unwavering dedication to advancing sustainable mobility. By offering adaptable platforms for a wide range of applications, we empower global clients to accelerate their transition to cleaner transportation. We are committed to making all powertrain technologies more sustainable – from enhancing ICE efficiency to driving full electrification for a cleaner future.”

In the same event context, we shared our successes in building up its 400V/800V component series production, featuring a flexible platform capable of delivering up to 150kW continuous power for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. This system can be customized to provide individual components or comprehensive solutions, including proprietary electronics and software.

Pioneering Light Electric Mobility

SEG Automotive India Director Anil Kumar, highlighted the company’s success in the light electric mobility (LEM) sector:

"The leading role we have taking in the rapidly expanding LEM business gives me immense pride. Our journey in light electric mobility exemplifies our ability to innovate for specific market needs, starting with India. From reducing urban pollution locally to making a global impact, our solutions are driving measurable reductions in emissions."

Our contributions to light electric mobility include solutions for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers, including innovative hub motors. These technologies, initially designed for India, are now deployed globally – powering urban rickshaws, European motorcycles, and mini-EVs for major OEMs.

SEG Automotive India Director, Anil Kumar, emphasized the company’s success in the Light Electric Mobility (LEM) sector.

Expanding into E-Bike and E-Cargo Segments

Taking our vision of sustainable mobility further, SEG Automotive has also entered the e-bike and e-cargo segments. Partnering with the renowned Spanish brand BH Bike, we have developed a lightweight mid-mount motor for e-bikes, delivering a peak power of 600W with customizable boost modes (0-400%). These motors are produced at SEG Automotive’s Treto facility in Spain. Additionally, our E-Cargo-Axle, developed in India, supports heavier electric rickshaws tailored for passenger and commercial applications.

Commitment to Conventional Powertrain Efficiency

While the transition to fully electric vehicles accelerates, commitment and innovations remain strong for internal combustion engines (ICE).

As part of our global strategy “Last Man Standing”, our company’s efficient starter motors, generators, and 48V Boost Recuperation Machines collectively save over 16 million tons of CO2 annually, ensuring a sustainable approach across all powertrain technologies.
